100 Children Dead From Ebola in DRC

According to CNN, the Ebola outbreak has taken the lives of nearly one hundred children in the Democratic Republic of Congo since the outbreak first began last year. According to the charity Save the Children, the number of new cases of Ebola have doubled in the last month. A total of 97 children have died from the illness since the outbreak began in August. 65 of the victims of the disease were younger than 5 years old. The current outbreak in the Congo is the second-deadliest and second-largest ebola outbreak in recorded history, topped only by one outbreak in West Africa in 2014.
