Ethiopia has inaugurated a $61 million dollar Chinese-built power distribution, rehabilitation and upgrading project.The project, funded by the World Bank, aims to cover the country's ambition of achieving nationwide electricity coverage. The program which is the latest outcome of the cooperation between Ethiopia and China, seeks to mainly benefit the grid system in the capital Addis Ababa. The seven other targeted cities include Jimma, Dire Dawa, Bahir Dar, Mekele, Hawassa, Adama and Dessie.
