As Afghanistan prepares for Saturday's presidential election, many voters living in Taliban-controlled areas are planning to stay away from the ballot.

They fear reprisals from the armed group if they vote.

Following the breakdown of talks with the US, the Taliban has stepped up its campaign to disrupt the election.
