Algerian fans were delighted as their side beat the Ivory Coast on penalties to reach the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Supporters were chanting, jumping up and down and setting of flares in the pandemonium after the final whistle.

The game ended 1-1 after extra time before Algeria won 4-3 on penalties.

Algeria, seeking the first Afcon triumph since 1990, will now meet Nigeria in Cairo on Sunday.
