According to a report by Business Insider, State lawmakers in Arizona are considering a measure to declare pornography a public health crisis. Republican Representative Michelle Udalle introduced the measure which claims that pornography "perpetuates a sexually toxic environment that damages all areas of our society." Udall reportedly told lawmakers, "Like the tobacco industry, the pornography industry has created a public health crisis. Pornography is used pervasively, even by minors." Business Insider reports that the proposed House Concurrent Resolution 2009 says children's easy access to online porn contributes to "low self-esteem, eating disorders and an increase in problematic sexual activity at ever-younger ages."
