The manager of a hair salon decided to open the place right after the lockdown measures brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic officially ended in Paris on Monday.
Karine Granger, the manager of an eponymous hairdressing salon in Clichy-la-Garenne, in the northern suburb of Paris, decided to open for business on Monday, May 11th at exactly 00:01 AM local time (22:01 GMT), at the end of the lockdown in France.
"We work two centimetres away from the customer and still we are quite close but we have to go on living. We have to pay for everything there is to pay and keep our businesses afloat. We have no choice but we aren't the only ones in this situation. It's true that we go on the frontline and we take risks every day," she said.
