The Vancouver Island community that was home to teenage murder suspects Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky is trying to come to terms with the events of the past few weeks.

The community went from worrying about the two men to shock upon learning they were suspects in connection to three homicides in northern BC.

Following the news that RCMP believe the bodies of the two men were found near the Nelson River in Manitoba, residents say it's heartbreaking for the families and it's not the result they were hoping for.
