Boris Johnson has spoken on the need to reduce the China-U.S. trade tensions. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson told U.S. President Donald Trump that Britain backs "trade peace" and freedom of trade. Johnson made the remarks on Sunday when meeting with Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit, in Biarritz. Johnson said the UK has profited massively in the last 200 years from free trade. On his part, Donald Trump said a trade deal between the U.S. and Britain could be reached quickly. Trump also said Johnson is the "right man" to deliver Brexit. Earlier, Donald Trump told reporters that the U.S. and Japan are very close to a major bilateral trade deal. According to him, the two sides have "been working on it for five months."
