Canada's Take On Refugees

According to Business Insider, "Asylum-seekers have been streaming into Canada via a tiny rural road in upstate New York for the last two years. The surge began with immigrants who lived in the United States and feared the Trump administration's immigration policies." Reinel Alfonso is one of those immigrants. He was interviewed as he was about to cross the border in October and told the press, "I think Canadians are very good to immigrants." Still Canada's government prefers immigrants who have been selected by the government versus those who have entered and claimed asylum.
