Mexico's new President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, has signed an agreement with his Central American counterparts, aimed at tackling the migrant issue at the United States border.

Obrador hopes it will stop people migrating from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

It comes as Al Jazeera learned about asylum seekers being illegally pushed back into Mexico after reaching US soil.
