Chinese President Xi Jinping has spoken on the phone with U.S. President Donald Trump about rising coronavirus infections. Xi said China had been open and transparent in containing the spread of COVID-19, and was willing to offer support to the United States. Trump later tweeted that their discussion was "in great detail," and that the U.S. was working closely with China. This was the second phone call between the two leaders this year.
