Combat Veterans Hired To Patrol School Campus

Thursday is the one year anniversary of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. According to Huffington Post, a school in Palmetto, Florida is working to make sure a similar tragedy doesn’t happen. By the end of February, the Manatee School for the Arts is going to hire two combat veterans whose job will be to patrol the campus, working to prevent any active shooters. Bill Jones, the school’s principal, hopes publicizing the new hires will deter anyone who might be thinking about shooting up the school.
