Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, along with the province's chief medical officer Dr. Saqid Shahab, provided an update Wednesday regarding the latest COVID-19 situation and response.

The province is reporting 11 new cases of COVID-19, but also has 15 new recoveries from the virus.

The premier says the Saskatchewan Health Authority is preparing for the potential of a surge of new cases, but at this point the case numbers and hospitalizations remain "relatively low."

Moe also said that Saskatchewan has one of the highest testing rates in Canada.

As of Wednesday, the province has 165 total active cases.
