France, Germany and the United Kingdom have shipped medical goods to Iran under a special scheme to bypass the U.S. blockade of the country.

It's the first transaction conducted under a trade mechanism set up to barter humanitarian goods and food after the U.S. violated the 2015 nuclear deal and reimposed sweeping sanctions.
