Students in the northwestern city of Nantes set a car ablaze on Thursday night as protests over French President Emmanuel Macron's education reforms continue.

Students from Gaspard Monge La Chauviniere High School clashed with police earlier in the day after blocking off the premises.

The protest is part of a larger movement of student protests in the city against Macron's proposed school reforms.

As part of the protests, the University of Nantes will remain closed until next Tuesday.
