Two firefighters were confirmed dead by French authorities after a gas leak explosion occurred in a bakery in central Paris on Saturday morning.

According to reports, at least 37 people have been injured, 10 seriously.

Helicopters landed nearby to evacuate the injured.

The blast took place on Rue de Trevise in the 9th Arrondissement at around 09:00 (08:00 GMT).
