French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday visited a mask factory and reassured the quarantine-hit nation that France was urgently manufacturing masks.
"Before the crisis, we were producing 3.3 million masks per week in France. By the end of April, we will be at more than 10 million, meaning we will have tripled our production in a few weeks," Macron said.
He went on to call for increased domestic production of protective equipment as part of efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus.(AP)
