A German court ordered Tesla to stop clearing trees from the site of its planned Gigafactory in Grunheide, just east of Berlin, on Sunday.

Footage from Monday shows the area of the site already cleared of trees by the logging operation that started on Thursday.

At the site, German police reported an incident in which two people reportedly tried to "climb the trees and set up a self-made wooden platform of about ten to fifteen metres high," before being removed by police.

The Higher Administrative Court of Berlin-Brandenburg (OVG) ruled on Sunday that the felling should be temporarily halted after an environmental group lodged a legal complaint.

The proposed plant has already faced protests from environmentalists and local concerns about its expected water consumption.
