At least seven people, including a firefighter, were injured in a blaze at a refugee shelter in the West German city of Bergisch Gladbach on Wednesday.

Footage filmed on Thursday shows fire brigades and emergency services present at the scene, with an excavator removing debris of the burned containers.

The cause of the blaze is still being investigated, though according to reports, there are no indications of a xenophobic motive.
