More than 1,200 Porsche workers joined other members of the IG-Metall Union to strike in Stuttgart on Monday. The workers demanded a six percent increase in wages.

Uwe Huck, the Porsche Works Council Chairman, explained that employers in Germany had "never made so much profit as in 2017", and that therefore it was only right that a portion of the profits go back to those workers who "generated" the increase.
