Indonesian police fired tear gas in a bid to disperse groups of protesters in central Jakarta following President Joko Widodo's re-election, in 'peaceful rally' that turned deadly overnight.

Police said the deadly riot that erupted in central Jakarta was a "set up" incident on Wednesday after at least six people died in the civil unrest that gripped parts of the Indonesian capital.
