Israel: PM's wife Sara Netanyahu to be questioned over bribery charges
Friday 07 December 2018 12:48 CET
Lawyers for Sara Netanyahu, wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, arrived for questioning under police caution in the Israeli city of Lod on Friday, over one of the bribery cases in which she and her husband are suspects.
The Netanyahus are being questioned over the so-called Bezeq-Walla affair, also known as Case 4000.
They are accused of being involved in a corruption case with the country's largest telecoms company, Bezeq.
Authorities say that Sara promoted regulatory benefits for Bezeq Telecom Israel in return for receiving favourable coverage on the company's news site, Walla.
