Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the site of the Babyn Yar massacre, one of the biggest single massacres of the Holocaust, during his two-day trip to Ukraine, Monday, August 19. Alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Netanyahu commemorated the victims with a minute of silence. The mass killing took the lives of 33,771 Jewish men, women and children between September 29 and 30, 1941. Netanyahu and Zelenskiy held bilateral talks earlier on Monday.
