A livestock farmers protest in Sardinia entered its fourth day on Monday, with farmers from near the Sardinian village of Ozieri blocking the Olbia-Sassari motorway and splashing milk on vehicles as they passed underneath a bridge

Milk producers are protesting against a reported drop in price of ovine milk of more than 25 percent. Milk has reportedly dropped to 60 cents a litre following a fall in the price of Pecorino Romano cheese, which absorbs about half the island’s sheep milk production.
