Video has emerged showing Russian Cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin and US Astronaut Nick Hague alive and well in Baikonur on Thursday after they were forced to make an emergency landing after a booster on their Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft failed shortly after launch.

Their capsule is believed to have landed 25 kilometres (15.5 miles) away the village of Zhezqazghan. They have since been picked up by a search and rescue crew and returned to Baikonur.

They were originally scheduled to return to Earth in April 2019.
