RUPTLY is live from Buenos Aires as Boca Juniors' fans gather outside the team's hotel on Sunday, November 25 following the confirmation that the second-leg of the Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors and River Plate has been postponed.
The President of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) Alejandro Dominguez confirmed earlier in the day that the game has been postponed until both teams find themselves in “equal conditions.”
The new date is set to be decided next on Tuesday in Asuncion, Paraguay, where the Presidents of both teams are due to meet with CONMEBOL representatives.
The final was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday but was postponed for 24 hours after the Boca Juniors team bus was attacked by River Plate fans upon its arrival to River’s Monumental stadium. At least two Boca players reportedly sustained injuries resulting from broken windows and tear gas.
