Ruptly is live from Rungis, in the southern suburbs of Paris, on Monday, April 6, as a building of the National Interest Market (MIN) has been transformed into a temporary morgue in order to relieve the regional funeral services, who are overcrowded with deaths related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Rungis market is the principal market of Paris and hosts traders of mainly food and horticultural products. It is considered among the largest wholesale markets in the world.

Over 4,500 people in France have died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, as the country has reported over 59,000 confirmed cases as of Thursday.
