US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Argentina Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie hold a joint press conference after attending to the ‘Western hemispheric anti-terrorism summit’ Buenos Aires, on July 19.

Pompeo is paying a short visit to Argentina in order attend to the summit, which falls one day after the 25th anniversary of the AMIA bombing.

The bombing of the Jewish Community Center represents the worst terrorist act in Argentina’s history, with 85 fatalities and more than 300 people injured.

During his visit, the US Secretary of State will pass by rebuilt AMIA building to pay tribute to the victims.
