Mexico gets ready to celebrate the Day of the Dead

Mexico City's Chapultepec forest was transformed with altars, lights and performances ahead of the Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday celebrating loved ones who passed away. Although people fear death, in Mexico the Day of the Death is a celebration, a ritual of color filled with joy and festivity. In the rest of the world, mourning the deceased and paying respects to one's loved ones is sadder and darker.
