Iran's revolution was carried out by an older generation enraged by the inequality they lived under the Shah's regime.

Today, members of a younger generation are expressing their discontent with the economic hardships they endure and are hoping to leave Iran.

Al Jazeera's Andrew Simmons spoke to ordinary Iranians, to assess the mood of the nation as it marks 40 years since the Islamic Revolution.
