China has announced the Chang'e-4 spacecraft mission was a complete success. As part of the mission, the Chang'e-4 lunar probe and the Yutu-2 rover took pictures of each other, and are sending the photos back to Earth. Amid hopes of uncovering lunar mysteries, the Chang'e-4 lunar probe carried out the first-ever soft landing on the moon's far side earlier this month, which marked a milestone for China's space industry. But is the Chinese industry on par with other space programs 15 years after launching the key part of its lunar exploration program?
