The European Union Force in Bosnia carried out a joint military exercise, Friday, October 11, in the country with reserve contingents from several European Union nations, as well as NATO troops from neighboring Kosovo.

The annual five-day exercise took place in all parts of Bosnia and included several fictional scenarios in which international soldiers, along with their Bosnian Army and law enforcement peers, had to secure airports, diffuse bombs, free hostages and handle civil riots.

Over 120 British Gurkhas as well as hundreds of reserve troops from Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and NATO-led Kosovo Force took part in the exercise. (AP)
