At least 90 people were arrested and 140kg of ecstasy was seized during a huge police operation clamping down on the Italian 'Ndrangheta mafia on Wednesday morning, according to the EU's Judicial Cooperation Unit, Eurojust, speaking from The Hague.

The raid, code-named "Operation Pollino", was carried out across Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, and involved hundreds of police officers who stormed Italian bars and restaurants thought to be laundering money.
