New Zealand has imposed what it calls some of the toughest border restrictions in the world, in an attempt to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that from March 16 all incoming passengers, including New Zealand citizens, will be required to isolate themselves for 14 days, except those from some Pacific islands that have no reported cases of COVID-19.
