According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan would retaliate if India attacked in response to a bombing in the disputed Kashmir region, an attack which India has blamed on Pakistan. Khan reportedly added that he wanted to cooperate in investigating the suicide bombing on Thursday, in which 40 Indian paramilitary police were killed in an attack the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad militant group claimed responsibility for. Reuters reports that tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors has sharply increased over the killing in the Indian-controlled part of the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir.
