A unique "Hualian (painted faces) Festival" kicked off Thursday in the Puzhehei scenic spot of southwest China’s Yunnan Province, where locals and tourists smear dust on each other’s face to give blessings.

Hualian Festival is a traditional festival of the ethnic Yi minority group in Yunnan’s Qiubei County, with a history of over 1,000 years. Qiubei County holds a series of activities every year beginning in 2000, to demonstrate the colorful ethnic culture of the county. This year’s Hualian Festival activities will last a whole month. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20190721/8116688.shtml#!language=1
