Opposition leader Keiko Fujimori was sent back to jail for 15 months of pre-trial detention on Tuesday, after a judge in Lima accepted a request from prosecutors, amid an ongoing money laundering and corruption investigation.

Footage shows the former presidential candidate kissing her husband before hearing the judge's decision.

After the judge's ruling Fujimori can be seen being escorted out of the court by police, who reportedly took her to back to the Santa Monica women's prison in Chorrillos.

Fujimori, daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori, had already been held in pre-trial detention for alleged money laundering and corruption. The investigation is still ongoing.
