Thousands of peaceful protesters in Hong Kong joined hands to form a “human chain” in different parts of the city, including at Des Voeux Road, outside of Central Station.

Chants such as, "Hong Kong people, add oil," and, "Triad police, return an eye," (in reference to the protester who suffered a severe eye injury die to a police beanbag attack) have become rally cries for the movement.

Demonstrators, some masked, some using hand wipes to stay clean, linked hands across different districts as others held up banners thanking overseas nations for supporting “freedom and democracy” in Hong Kong.
