Russian footballers Pavel Mamaev and Alexander Kokorin appeared for questiong in Moscow on hooliganism charges, footage released on Thursday by the Moscow Interior Ministry shows.

The Main Directorate of the Moscow Interior Ministry opened a criminal case against Kokorin and Mamaev on October 10.

The pair, both former members of the Russian national team, are accused of assaulting Trade Ministry official Denis Pak in a cafe in the Russian capital on Monday. They are also charged with assaulting on a driver earlier in the day.

If Kokorin and Mamaev are found guilty, they can face up to seven years in prison.
