It's estimated that a quarter of the world's pig population has died this year, due to an outbreak of African swine fever.

The virus has been spreading rapidly through Asia with fears it could reach Australia soon.

But a group of scientists at a secure laboratory is trying to develop a vaccine in a bid to safeguard the industry here.
