SILENCED SCIENTIST ALLOWED TO SPEAK ON CORONAVIRUS: Dr. Anthony Fauci of the NIH testifies to the Senate. The White House had reportedly barred Fauci from making public statements without prior approval from VP Pence. There are now over 100 confirmed cases across 15 states, as well as six deaths within Washington state. Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, has worked under six administrations throughout various national and global health crises, but has limited visibility under the Trump administration, with VP Pence appointing HHS Sec. Alex Azar to speak to the press rather than doctors or scientists.
