In just 10 years internet connected smartphones have quickly become something of a necessity in Australian life
the ABC's Australia talks survey has found 96 per cent of us have a smartphone.
And more than 60 per cent of us spend between 1 and 6 hours a day staring at them.
But the rapid adoption of the technology has left some Australians behind, on the wrong side of the digital divide.
