FC Barcelona held a presentation of team newcomer and French superstar striker Antoine Griezmann in Barcelona on Sunday, days after the Catalan team paid Atletico Madrid €120 million ($136 million) for his buy-out clause.

Griezmann signed a five-year contract with the Catalan club. After signing the contract, the 28-year-old striker was given a team shirt with number 17 on the back.

"I'd like to thank Atletico Madrid and 'El Cholo' [Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone] and all my colleagues in the locker-room who helped me be an important player for my team and selection, who helped me World Champion," said Griezmann during a press conference after the presentation.

"I come with a lot of excitement and motivation, I accept the important challenge," Griezmann said about his move to Barcelona.

"I come with my family. With a lot of desire and ready for what is to come."
