Fans of River Plate greeted and cheered for their team in Madrid on Sunday, just ahead of the second leg of the 2018 Copa Libertadores final against arch-rivals Boca Juniors at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

The fans can be seen gathered outside the Eurostars Tower hotel, where the team is staying, as they managed to catch a glimpse of the players before the left for the stadium.

The second match of South America's most important club competition was originally meant to take place in River's home stadium El Monumental, however it was rescheduled and moved to Madrid due to attacks on Boca's team bus by rival fans upon its arrival to the stadium.
