At least 72 Palestinians were reportedly injured during the 'Great March of Return' protest at the Gaza-Israeli border on Friday. According to reports citing the Gaza Ministry of Health, Israeli border forces used live bullets and rubber-coated rounds against demonstrators.

Many of the injured protesters, including children, were carried away on stretchers by paramedics, while others were treated in field hospitals. Ambulances were also seen leaving the area to transport people to hospitals.

Protesters were seen hurling and sling-shotting rocks at the border.

Thousands of Palestinians have been participating in the weekly 'Great March of Return' protests. They began in March 2018 as a non-violent campaign demanding the right to return to their ancestral lands and an end to the blockade of Gaza. Hundreds have since lost their lives during the campaign.
