State of Palestine: Gaza protests as UN votes on resolution condemning Hamas

Hundreds of people took part in a rally organised by Hamas and a number of Palestinian groups in Gaza on Thursday, to protest against the United States-sponsored resolution condemning the militant group at the United Nations.
Activists were also demonstrating against the United States' demand to consider Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad as "terrorist organisations".
Despite a majority voting in favour of the US-backed resolution, the UN vote failed to achieve the necessary two-thirds number.
