After two years of bitter political and personal attacks on opponents, US President Donald Trump called for unity in his first State of the Union Address under a divided Congress

Trump outlined his political priorities but provided few details.

Much of the speech focused on immigration and his proposed border wall with Mexico, the issue that postponed Trump's address, with a 35-day partial government shutdown over funding for his proposed border wall.
