A Brisbane teenager suffering from a syndrome that feels like "her veins are on fire" is heading to the US for radical treatment.
Also known as "suicide disease", Stella Artuso has lived with the excruciating pain for four years since she rolled her ankle.
She says one of the symptoms of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CPRS) is pain so bad it feels "like your veins are on fire".
