Rescue workers were seen on a collapsed building in Gezin in eastern Turkey searching for survivors after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit the region on Friday.

At least 14 people were killed and more than 200 wounded in the powerful quake which was also felt in neighbouring Syria and Lebanon.

The earthquake struck near the town of Sivrice in the eastern province of Elazig where at least ten buildings collapsed.
