Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov discussed civil aviation cooperation with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Dubai Airshow 2019, Sunday.
As footage shows, Russian Helicopters' new Mi-38 was first exhibited abroad at the airshow with Manturov and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan taking a look inside the aircraft. The helicopter is set to take flight as part of the airshow program, according to the company's press statement.
Another newcomer, the VRT 500 light helicopter, with its first flight scheduled for 2021, was showcased at the joint exposition with Tawazun, an Emirati holding company.
During the meeting, Manturov and Al Nahyan discussed "the bilateral agreement on certifying aircrafts" as well as "equipment for oil and gas industry," according to a statement by the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry.
The Dubai Airshow 2019 kicked off on Sunday at Dubai World Central. Some 1,300 companies from 160 countries take part in the event.
